ALLEGANY - Mrs. Mildred Abbott of 42½ N. Fifth St., died Friday (July 6, 1979) in St. Francis Hospital, following a lengthy illness.

Born Nov. 11, 1908 in Allegany, she was a daughter of Frank and Maggie Zaph Mohr. On Sept. 10, 1929 in Allegany, she married Clyde Spindler, who predeceased her on Feb. 18, 1933. In 1951, she married Frank Abbott, who predeceased her in August of 1959.

A lifelong resident of the Allegany area, Mrs. Abbott had attended the Allegany School system.

She was employed as an inspector for Acme Electric Corporation, Allegany, until her retirement.

Mrs. Abbott was a member of St Bonaventure Church of Allegany; LCBA; Charles Harbel American Legion Post of Allegany; Ladies of the Eagles and Firemans Auxiliary.

Surviving are a son, James Spindler of Limestone; eight grandchildren and a great-grandchild; four brothers: Vincent Mohr of Salamanca and Edwin Mohr, Lawrence Mohr and Clarence Mohr, all of Allegany; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the E. C. Hogan Funeral Home Inc., 30 E. Main St., Allegany, Sunday and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. where funeral services will be held Tuesday (July 10, 1979) beginning with a prayer service at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bonaventure Church, at 10a.m. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Allegany.

The Rosary will be recited Monday at 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
