Notes:
Monk and Julie were married by L. J. Williams, Minister of the Gospel.  Both being under age, Martha Moore and Juanita Patrick gave assent.  Elzie and Julia, along with other family members and friends, were going to Rev. Levi Williams' home in Jess Moore's (Elzie's brother) flat bed truck to get married.  They met Rev. Williams along the road and he told them he'd marry them right there.  So, when asked where they got married,  they always told everyone "just along side the road".
