Notes:
Isaac and the family emigrated to the American Colonies of Great Britain
in 1686. He was a sea captain who owned his own ship. The family appeared
in what is now Putnam Co., NY in 1686. The village of Garrison, New York is
situated on ancestral lands of the family. Isaac was in the Army of William and
Mary when they landed at the English coast in 1688 after the abdication of King
James II. He was supposedly knighted and carried a coat of arms which shows in
the Royal Armorial records as being extinct in 1702.
