Aft 1875, Andrew and Emily separated and Andrew went to live among relatives in North Carolina leaving Emily and the children in Missouri living with her parents.  After their divorce, Andrew married his cousin's daughter.  Emily eventually (in 1885) married William Tillotson.

Sometime after 1882, Andrew and Synthia also separated and he moved back to Missouri leaving her and the kids in North Carolina living with her parents.  By 1900, he was living with his sister Maranda and Kate was living with her parents.  Eventually he went to live with his brother John in Oklahoma which is where he died.  By 1910, Kate was living with her son Edward and his family with whom she remained until she died.
