   Enlisted in Company G, 6th Calvary Regiment Michigan on 11 October 1862.
   Promoted to Full Corporal on 24 November 1862.  Promoted to Sergeant on 1 May 1863.
   Killed in Company G, 6th Calvary Regiment Michigan on 14 July 1863 in Falling Waters, MD.

Harriet received a pension for both herself and then her minor daughters for Sears' service in the Civil War (Image #2238).
