__________
Notes:
In the Revolutionary War, Daniel was a Lieutenant in Capt. Eleazer
Lindsey's Co., Col.. Ruggles Woodridge's Regt. He was listed for advance
pay of one month in 1775 at Cambridge for 8 months service. He was in Col.
Samuel Garrish's Regt. taken by the Massachusetts Army 6 July 1775, payroll
dated 30 Aug 1775. He signed a return dated 21 July 1775. He was a Captain
in the 10th Co. of Woodridge Regt. returning Oct 1775. His father-in-law,
Eleazer Lindsey, was either "cashiered" for neglect of suty or physically unable
to continue. Capt. Daniel Gallucia took command of Capt. Eleazer Lindsey's
Co., Woodridge Regt., engaged 12 May 1775 for service of 2 months 21 days,
muster roll dated 1 Aug 1775. As a Captain from Lynn, he served at the
Battles of Concord, Bunker Hill, and elsewhere in the Revolution.
It seems that when Daniel brought his family to Lynn, Massachusetts, the spelling of the surname was changed on official documents (e.g., census & vital records) to GALUCIA, GALLUCIA and/or GALLEUCIA. The descendents of his sons show a variation of the spelling changes from this point on.

At the age of 75, he tried to hang himself in the barn, but was recovered and said "I believe now I shall live out my appointed time".
Daniel had the last four children with Eliza, his 4th wife, rather late in life and, after he and Eliza had both died in December of 1825, the court was petitioned to appoint a guardian for them on 04 Jan 1826.
Daniel was buried near the Lindsey family on the shore of Brown's Pond in
Lynn. The remains were moved to a tomb on the other end of the pond.
These remains, along with five others, were later moved to Cedar Grove Cemetery,
Peabody, Essex Co., Massachusetts although there is no record at Cedar Grove
cemetery authenticating this.
